Role description

Let’s work together to turn Nalantis’ strategic vision for the next generation of Natural Language Processing into a reality. Can you help Nalantis build multilingual AI/NLP services around semantic information extraction and processing? Then maybe you are the Senior NLP Developer we’re looking for!

As Senior NLP Developer, you participate in all phases of the software development cycle, from design to deployment. You also work closely with other NLP developers, engineers, and subject matter experts on current tech and forward-looking projects.


Required skills 

  • Solid experience as a NLP developer (3+ years industry experience)

  • Knowledge and experience with classic NLP pipelines (morphology, syntax, semantics) as well as machine learning/deep learning

  • Able to do independent research & development, and come up with novel solutions to problems

  • Multilingual: able to process information in the major European languages

  • Hands-on and agile

  • Team player

  • Good written and spoken English communication skills


Nice to have skills

  • Experience with NLP applications within legal and HR domains

Day to day tasks

  • Help turn Nalantis’ strategic vision for the next generation of NLP into a reality

  • Design and specify functional requirements for our flagship semantic understanding technology, combining classic linguistic techniques with machine learning/deep learning

  • Implement, optimize, refactor efficient information processing service APIs in Python

  • Assist in the (semi)automatic creation of multilingual linguistic resources that power our systems

  • Manage testing and bug fixing, prepare technical documentation

  • Adhere to the highest standards for security and privacy compliance

  • Collaborate with product management and developers, following Nalantis’ agile processes

  • Coach team members regarding NLP design, scripting, coding, and testing best practices
